We are committed to our mission statement: To deliver the highest level of customer service by practicing the finest level of line services, using processes that consistently achieve business targets and customer needs by completely engaging the talents of everyone in the organization.

With FAA- and city-approved through-the-fence access, Summit Air functions as a privately-owned operation at the airport. We purchased Williams Aviation service center in September 2008, reclaiming part of Akron's flying past while also redirecting the city-owned airport toward a brighter future.

We occupy the same 200,000-square-foot hangar next to the Akron Airdock where Goodyear Corsair airplanes were made during World War II. In addition to offering full-service FBO and concierge services, we also provide generous hangar rental space and 24-7 BP fuel at competitive prices.

Best of all, our location is ideal for your business travel needs in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Since our airport is free from commercial flights, our air space is uncluttered. That means it’s easy in and easy out for you. And taking to the road is equally convenient, with immediate highway access to routes 224, 77 and 76 making Summit Air a central access point to Akron, Canton and Cleveland.

We are proud to be located in Ohio, the Birthplace of Aviation. Our vision is to reinvigorate general aviation with our commitment to Service, Excellence and Passion. As we grow and serve with distinction, we envision the Akron-Fulton International Airport becoming a source of revitalization for the City of Akron.

Summit Air is located in one of Akron’s oldest aviation structures. The hangar is known as Building E. During the 1940s, the 192,000-square-foot facility was built to meet the military demands of World War II. Corsair aircraft was manufactured here. Right next door is one of Ohio’s largest structures (and a striking aerial landmark), once home to the Goodyear Blimp. The cavernous domed hangar is currently being renovated to support additional aviation-based work conducted by Lockheed Martin.

Our sprawling facility is the base of operations for University Hospital’s medevac emergency helicopter services and Akron Children’s Hospital’s Air Bear medical helicopter. It’s also the refueling station for Metro Life Flight medical helicopters.

Our aviation tenants additionally include Premier Flight Academy (www.premierflightacademy.com) and Stark Airways corporate charter services (www.starkairways.com). We at Summit Air would be happy to arrange for services you may need from them, or you can always contact them directly as needed.
